How do I write Baptism Invitation?

It comes a time when you want to throw an event and celebrate with your friends and family. As you welcome the new bundle of joy to the ways of Christ according to the Christianity norm, you should carefully select your guests and invite them to celebrate with you.
If such an event is upcoming, you probably have thought about sending baptism invitation to your closest friends and family. But now how do you go about it? Do you know all the words that should be included in the invitation card?
For an event that happens once in your baby’s life, it should be unique and particularly important. For that reason, I am here to release the tension of writing and sending baptism invitations.
Baptism invitations wording guidelines
You should be very careful not to leave any important information out. To ensure this is a reality, it all starts with understanding important guidelines in writing baptism invitations. For that reason, I have listed some important notes to take and essentials to include in your baby’s first communion invitations.
Write the parents’ name and the nameof the Honoree
At the very first line of the invitation card, include the name of the person who is being honored on this special day. The name of the parents and the baby should be on the front center of the card. This eliminates any confusion on the side of the guests.
It’s also important to include the middle name of the parents and the family on the invitation. Though, this is not really necessary if you are inviting your closest friends and relatives. Unless otherwise, you should avoid it.
When will the event be held?
On the same invitation, detail the date and the time of the event. This should be at one corner of the invitation. Before sending the invitations to your guests, it’s important to double check the details and ensure the dates and the time is correct.
Furthermore, it’s important to double-check whether the details about the dates of the ceremony and reception are correct. This is in case the two of them are not held at the same time and the same place. For some people, the dates of the event are laid on the right hand top side of the invitation.
Where will the event be held?
We all know that the first communion and baptism are likely to happen in a church and you may choose another location for reception. Include all the details about the church address and the reception address. The guests should have full information about the locations of the event to ease their way in.
If you think the location is not easily navigable, there’s room to include a brief map on the envelop. But if you are sending the cards online and there’s no envelop, you can include the location of the event on the attachment. If the baptism and the reception are not held at the same place, then you should consider offering addresses for the two locations.
Baptism quotes or Bible quotes
Before you close the invitation, it’s wise to include a brief baptism quote or bible quotes. This helps set the mood for the day and at the same time maintains the relevance of the event. Pick quotes that are in line with the event about to happen and place them at a strategic place in your invitation.
RSVP number and the deadline
After you’re done writing all the other details, make sure to include the RSVP numbers and the deadline. This is usually put at the bottom of the invitation. It should contain clear details of the person the guests should RSVP and the deadline information. For people that don’t require any RSVP, then include a note saying ‘’No RSVP’’.
Do you want any gifts?
Your guests may need additional information or details about the gifts. If gifts are not welcome during the occasion, then please state that on the invitation. It can be as easy as stating ‘’No Gifts’’ somewhere on the invitations.
Baptism Invitations wording Ideas
With the above information, it seems easy to write the invitation. However, the choice of words and the way they are arranged on the invitation makes a big impact. Before I give you some ideas about the words to include, I have to state that the Invitation should be brief and clear, well organized and readable. With that in mind, check these Baptism Invitations wording Ideas.
